đź“– Why do I need a morning routine?
Mornings are the single most important time for dopamine.
1. Why They Matter
- Dopamine is most sensitive in the morning → first activity wires the loop.
- If your first hit is TikTok, everything else feels flat. If your first hit is effort, the rest of the day feels lighter.
- Routines automate good decisions. You remove decision fatigue and start the day aligned.
2. How to Create a Routine That Works for You
- Keep it short. 15–30 minutes is enough.
- Pick anchors, not goals. A good routine isn’t “work out and journal every day.” It’s “stretch, write one line, drink water.” Anchors you can scale.
- Design it for your life. If you’re not a morning person, keep it bare minimum — water + make bed still counts.
3. How to Maintain & Build
- Start tiny: 3 anchors is plenty.
- Track, don’t judge: If you miss a day, continue the next.
- Evolve: Once a routine feels natural, add one more anchor. If one feels useless, swap it out.
